Our Criteria

The core standards below apply to any core product being sent in for full credit.

The core standards below apply to any core product being sent in for full credit. All damaged units sent without prior approval may be reduced in price or rejected upon inspection.

Engines:

  • Rotate 360*
  • Non-ventilated and un-cracked block
  • Not fire damaged
  • All fluids drained

Fuel Injection Pumps / High Pressure Oil Pumps:

  • Must be in takeout condition – No missing valves, solenoids, parts or pieces
  • Connectors and plugs must be in good condition
  • No fire damage units
  • No previous dismantled units – all screws, nuts, seals, plugs etc. must be intact
  • No body or housing damage
  • Some units are required to spin freely

Turbochargers:

  • Both housings must be free of damage – no gouges, broken pieces or internal damage. This includes damage from the wheel making contact with inside of the housing
  • No broken turbine shafts or wheels
  • No excessive shaft play
  • All actuators, pedestals, sensors, wires, etc. must be intact
  • No fire/water damage units

Fuel Injectors

  • No fire/water damage units
  • No previously dismantled units or “Frankenstein” injectors
  • All components of the injector should be free of damage and intact: Nozzle, body, solenoid, connectors, posts, tabs, wires, etc. (Unless otherwise noted on the buy sheet)
  • No excessive rust or pitting

ECMS/FICMs

  • No fire/water damage units
  • Case must be free of damage and intact
  • Connectors and plugs must be in good condition
  • No previously dismantled units – All screws securing case/body/plugs must be in place

EGR Coolers/Valves

  • Complete take out units only
  • No previous dismantling or amateur service attempts
  • No cut flanges or fittings

Returns

If your core does not meet our criteria as listed above and you reject GRC’s revised pricing, the following options are available:

  • You can issue a call tag for product pick up.
  • Rejected products will be returned at the expense of the customer.
  • Customer’s that would like their product returned must have it picked up within 30 days. After 30 days we will no longer warehouse the product, we will dispose of it.
